Clinic Analysis & Review (CAR) Project

Our team manages the clinical informatics infrastructure at IHC clinics, with a core focus on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of patient charts within the Nimbo Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This includes oversight of data imputations across vitals, encounter notes, medications, and referrals to ensure records reflect a reliable picture of patient care.

Beyond maintaining accurate clinical records, we use data analysis to identify clinical trends across our patient populations, including public health patterns and social determinants of health. These insights directly inform how we improve clinic operations and better serve our patients. We synthesize these outcomes into visually compelling reports, including our Annual Clinic Report, transforming raw clinical data into compelling, evidence-based narratives that demonstrate our operational impact to donors, providers, and the public.

Through the CAR Project, project members can gain hands-on, clinic-based experience: working directly with systems at the point of patient-provider interaction, learn programming languages for data analysis, and present clinical data to the broader public. This exposure and training makes the project a strong fit for individuals pursuing healthcare roles (i.e. Medical Assistant, CNA, scribes, etc.).
